Our first ad is out there: It’s Only Fair
Here’s a sneak preview of our first ad, which will be going up on network TV, targeted cable, and online on Thursday. It lays responsibility for the pension mess on the governor and Legislature, and warns that failure to fund the system could cause it to collapse and plunge educators into poverty. We have other ads ready to go once the Supreme Court rules, which is rumored to be any day now. This is our fight. It’s about your future. Download When They Say… You Say to arm yourself with the facts. Sen. Allen commits to funding the pension Members in Burlington County had over 100 members rally outside Republican Sen. Diane Allen’s office. At a meeting organized by the NJEA Government Relations Division and UniServ Region 5, members met with Sen. Allen. The result? A commitment from the senator to oppose any budget that does not include the five-sevenths pension payment required by Chapter 78. Collective action in action! Thank you, Gov. Christie????? In response to Gov. Christie’s ridiculous claim that public employees should send him a thank you note for the damage he’s doing to our pensions, the Hammonton Education Association took him at his word.
